Dishevelled in a Strabismus6 mutant background

Loss of Strabismus leads to a large reduction in Dishevelled at the membrane.

Loss of Strabismus disrupts Dishevelled astymmetry and localisation at the junctions.

Strabismus is required for asymmetric localisation and accumulation of Dishevelled.

Dishevelled in a diego mutant background

Loss of clear junctional localisation of Dishevelled in the absence of Diego.

Diego is required for the localisation of Dishevelled and the formation of puncta.

Dishevelled localisation (Dishevelled::GFP in green, ubiquitously expressed from its endogenous promoter) in wing imaginal discs; projection of horizontal optical sections in the apical region.

enGal4/ UAS-Diego; Dishevelled::GFP/+ (at 29oC). Diego is overexpressed in the posterior compartment (anti-Diego in red). Dishevelled::GFP enriched apically in the posterior compartment where Diego is overexpressed (compare to Anterior compartment, left side of panels).

Dishevelled in a prickle mutant background

Dishevelled levels not altered, but asymmetry is lost, in the absence of pk-sple.

In the absence of Prickle, Strabismus puncta are smaller and Strabismus asymmetry is lost.
